Key Responsibilities

* Accurately complete delivery paperwork and communicate with production, sales, and customers to resolve issues with loads and delivery times
* Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety rules and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
* Drive a regional territory, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods
* Inspect vehicles for safety and operational defects, using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists
* Inventory and inspect goods to be moved, determining quantities and conditions
* Load and secure trailers, including securing chains and tarping loads
* Perform daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections
* Responsible for delivering products to customers, contractors, and job sites throughout our region
* Set up sideboard kits around trailer floors
* Minimum 1 year roll-off trailer experience preferred
* Ability to pass a company road test
* No violations for careless, negligent, or reckless operation of a commercial motor vehicle in the previous 3 years
* Knowledgeable in D.O.T. regulations and requirements
* No DUI or DWI in the last 5 years
* No felony involving the use of a commercial motor vehicle in the previous 3 years
* Frequent physical activity, including walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and working with chains and equipment
* Minimum 3 years verifiable tractor/trailer experience required (flatbed hauling over-the-road experience preferred)
* Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs
* Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, including heat and cold
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges
* Must have effective listening and verbal skills to engage with internal and external customers
* Must speak and understand English language in verbal communication
* No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years
* No on-road preventable accidents in the past 3 years
* Owner/Operators preferred
* Pass required D.O.T. and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by D.O.T.
* No violation for speeding excessively, 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in the previous 3 years
* Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required
* Work well with team members or independently, giving and receiving feedback in a constructive manner

Requirements

* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
