Post Surgical/Medical Registered Nurse

Virtua Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a Surgical/Medical setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and regimes, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Effectively manage rapidly changing situations, prioritizing patient needs and communicating with the healthcare team.
- Participate in clinical decision-making, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
- Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
- Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
- Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
- Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and departmental level competencies.
- Valid NJ RN License.
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
