Job Summary

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a vital role in the Anesthesia team at Memorial Healthcare, providing safe and effective anesthesia care for a diverse range of patients.

As a CRNA, you will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, consistently meeting the high standards of Memorial Healthcare's Vision, Mission, and Values.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in providing 24/7 anesthesia coverage, ensuring seamless services across various hospital areas, including operating rooms, lithotripsy, MRI, diagnostic radiology, ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, labor and delivery, and more.
  • Deliver full anesthesia coverage for scheduled surgical cases, including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia, and post-operative care.
  • Provide continuous coverage and services for labor and delivery, including epidural anesthesia and general anesthesia for Cesarean deliveries, as well as high-risk deliveries.
  • Offer consultative services to ED physicians, surgeons, and Hospitalist physicians as required.
  • Cover endoscopy services and maintain best practice standards for anesthesia administration.
  • Participate in scheduled call shifts and respond to emergency/urgent service requests as needed.
  • Complete medical records and dictations in a timely fashion, adhering to Memorial Healthcare's policies.
Departmental and Additional Job Responsibilities
  • CRNA agrees to be available for scheduled patient contact of 40 hours per week, excluding on-call services.
  • CRNA's patient contact will be scheduled over a five-day work week, unless mutually agreed upon by CRNA and Memorial Healthcare.
  • CRNA shall maintain board certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and meet all continuing education requirements to maintain nursing license, specialty certification, and other certifications.

  • Able to travel independently throughout Memorial Healthcare facilities.
  • Small motor skills required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment.

  • Proficiency in using modern office, computer, and telephone equipment.
  • Maintain ability to utilize EMR as appropriate.
Essential Mental Abilities
  • Ability to adapt and maintain focus in fast-paced, quickly changing or stressful situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents, including policies, operating instructions, white papers, regulations, rules, and laws.

  • Able to see for the purpose of reading information received in formats including paper, computer, reports, bulletins, updates, manuals.
