Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Pharmacy Operations Technician, you will:
  • Independently perform essential technician duties within the pharmacy department.
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with colleagues and patients.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and orientation of new pharmacy staff.
  • Oversee the ongoing development and training of both new and existing pharmacy technicians.
  • Coordinate daily work functions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage workplace challenges and conflicts in a constructive manner.
  • Support the Pharmacy Director in scheduling and staffing to ensure optimal operations.
  • Monitor job performance and ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Order medications and supplies as necessary in the absence of the Pharmacy Buyer.
  • Facilitate the restocking of pharmaceutical products and maintain quality control standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure departmental compliance.
  • Perform audits and manage controlled substance accountability.
  • Accurately prepare IV admixtures while adhering to safety and quality control standards.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times.
  • Participate in mandatory education and training programs.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required to support departmental needs.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A valid State of Maine Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
  • National CPHT certification.
  • A minimum of three years of hospital pharmacy experience.
