Job Overview

Position Summary:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees and directs daily operational activities within the ultrasound department, providing essential leadership in the designated area. Advocates for imaging services by staying informed on the latest advancements in technology and equipment.

The Lead Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for ensuring compliance with accreditation standards while performing a range of tasks related to the operation of ultrasound machinery and other relevant devices.


Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of an AMA accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience recognized by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must fulfill the criteria for the highest level of Ultrasound Technologist at the respective facility.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Registered with ARDMS and/or hold RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) certifications.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Current BLS Certification
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong problem-solving skills, effective prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
Experience in managing personnel.
Familiarity with regulatory standards.
