Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in West Point, PA. As an Automation Engineer at Verista, you will be responsible for designing and implementing key automation aspects of equipment projects, including PLC, vision, and HMI programming.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement automation solutions for equipment projects, including PLC, vision, and HMI programming.
- Lead and perform complex quality checks, requiring an intricate understanding of machine control systems and operations.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and system support.
- Analyze operational process problems and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage change control authoring and execution.
- Participate in site and network-wide teams to provide cybersecurity alignment and direction.
- Provide 24x7x365 support of automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects.
- Mentor and guide junior staff and serve as a technical trainer, as needed.
- 5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer.
- Digital Transformation experience a plus; Kneat experience a nice to have.
- Ability to read logic and perform programming, as well as update control system documentation.
- Contribute technical content to validation protocols on automation systems and perform execution of protocols.
