Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health in Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for providing quality patient care within the medical imaging department. This includes performing high-quality images and exams on patients, maintaining sensitivity to patient needs, and following standards of safe radiation practice and ALARA principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department.
  • Perform high-quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
  • Follow standards of safe radiation practice and ALARA principles.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other technologists.
  • Act as a clinical resource for students, staff technologists, and other personnel.
  • Ensure current practice standards for the department are met.
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures ensuring safety for self, patients, and others.
  • Produce quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Prepare patients for exams, providing information and responding to their needs.
  • Assist patients during exams, positioning them appropriately.
  • Observe and document patient conditions and equipment status during procedures.
  • Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal equipment/resource use.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and staff.
  • Assist with patient transport as needed.
  • Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Perform duties outside of the original assignment as assigned by management in other registered modalities.
  • Provide on-call coverage outside of standard hours per policy.
  • Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies.
  • Complete required hospital/medical imaging paperwork per exam.
  • Prepare the room, equipment, and materials needed for exams.
  • Maintain technical operation of equipment, notifying services when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean work area for employees and patients, conducting quality checks.
  • Identify problems proactively and follow up with management.
  • Establish constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and departments.
  • Maintain a high skill level through education and meeting attendance, sharing knowledge with staff.
  • Assist in the clinical and/or didactic education of students and other professionals.
  • Engage in professional development and activities.
  • Actively participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to accreditation efforts as requested.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and adaptability to change.
Float Requirements:

May be required to float to various locations within 60 miles of the original assignment. Float assignments may include duties outside the original assignment requirements.
