SERVPRO of Minnetonka is seeking a dedicated Mitigation Estimator to enhance our dynamic team. At SERVPRO of Minnetonka, our Mitigation division is in search of a motivated professional with a background in the restoration sector, eager to collaborate with our VP of Mitigation to refine our estimation processes.


Key Responsibilities

The Mitigation Estimator will oversee a variety of essential tasks to effectively secure, bid, and evaluate mitigation projects. This role involves close collaboration with the VP of Mitigation, Client Services, Business Development, and the Mitigation field team to ensure projects are prioritized correctly and billed accurately.


Primary Duties
  • Lead Qualification: Engage with non-emergency leads to assess potential clients based on project scope and payment capabilities.
  • Scheduling Coordination: Organize appointments for estimates and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Estimating and Job Scoping: Promptly respond to incoming leads, conduct on-site evaluations for residential and commercial clients, and provide estimates within 24 hours.
  • Follow up on estimates to secure projects and manage necessary paperwork and deposits.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish customer relationships for potential construction opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as a first responder to urgent situations as needed.
  • Be available for on-call duties, including one night per week and one weekend per month.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of projects and manage customer service inquiries.
  • Strive for a close rate of 75% on all written estimates.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and insurance companies for project approvals.
  • Ensure effective communication with the Production and Operations Managers, as well as Marketing Representatives.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: $75,000 plus a 2% commission on completed jobs, with expectations of $1 million in Mitigation Jobs annually.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years in the restoration industry.
  • Proficient in Xactimate with certifications at Levels 1, 2, and 3.
  • Familiarity with DASH, Docusketch, and MICA is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with insurance companies.
  • Organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proven understanding of job profitability.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Work Schedule and Travel Requirements
  • This role requires on-call availability for after-hours dispatching of losses.
  • Full-time position with working hours typically between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Extended hours, on-call duties, and weekend work may be necessary. Local travel is required, with potential for out-of-area and overnight travel.
