Job Title: School Meal Operations Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented School Meal Operations Assistant to join our team at Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our meal service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the receipt and storage of food deliveries, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored in a clean and organized manner.
  • Conduct regular temperature checks to ensure that all food is stored at a safe temperature.
  • Set up and operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and dishwashers, to prepare and serve meals to students.
  • Assist with the serving of meals to students, ensuring that all meals are served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and surfaces.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving food supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Meal Operations Manager to ensure that all meal service operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Meal Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and understand English and effectively communicate with students, staff, and community members.

  • Previous experience in food service or a related field.
