We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Intensivist to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a key member of our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows, and contributing to our research and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assess and manage critically ill cardiac patients, including those requiring mechanical support devices
- Provide expert care in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, outpatient cardiology clinic, and inpatient heart failure service
- Teach and mentor internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows in a dynamic and supportive environment
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, with opportunities for collaboration and innovation
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology or Intensive Care Medicine
- Experience in assessment and management of critically ill cardiac patients, including mechanical support devices
- Strong clinical, teaching, and interpersonal skills
