Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
  • Anticipate and recognize changes in patient condition, status, and need for care, and take appropriate actions to ensure patient safety.
  • Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety, and work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient-centered care.
  • Actively coordinate patient discharge plans, apply evidence-based practice to deliver patient care, and consistently incorporate nursing and regulatory standards of care into practice.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, and take appropriate action when changes are needed.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills, and promote collaboration among healthcare team members.
  • Assume a leadership role in the care team, delegate appropriately to unlicensed personnel, and promote a culture of safety through identifying threats to patient safety and intervening to prevent patient harm.
  • Apply ethical decision-making, demonstrate respect and understanding for peers and other clinical disciplines, and participate as an effective member of the patient care team to formulate an integrated, unbiased, individualized approach to care.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives to improve the functions of the department and the patient care experience.
  • Participate in professional activities that contribute to personal and professional development, and seek opportunities to be taught, coached, and mentored.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
  • Proficient computer skills, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively make critical, independent decisions.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates time management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrates coordination, collaboration, delegation, and team-building skills.
