Job Title: Construction Project Manager - Pre Construction and Post Construction Expert

CLMI Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award, construction and close-out phase of projects.
  • Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to designers as necessary.
  • Plans, organizes and prepares reports to upper management with respect to project status and progress.
  • Coordinates with public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with off-site work requirements.
  • Manages project budget and schedule to meet qualitative standards.
  • Reviews contractors' construction schedules and submittals, and coordinates responses to their inquiries.
  • Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and District requirements are met.
  • Negotiates Contractor Change Order Proposals to achieve fair and reasonable prices.
  • Reviews and addresses schedule impacts in accordance with project specifications.
  • Monitors and manages project close-out with respect to project certification and financial close out.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years of full-time paid professional experience in construction and/or project management.

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Design Build Experience.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects.
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.
  • Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum).

Required Education:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Or completion of the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one year of employment.

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:

  • A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
  • A valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI).
