We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Registrar to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Trauma Registrar, you will play a critical role in collecting, abstracting, and analyzing trauma registry data to improve patient outcomes and advance our mission to transform healthcare.

• Collect and analyze trauma registry data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Evaluate and interpret patient data in reference to ICD-10 and AIS coding classification
• Comply with NTDS standards in analyzing data for diagnoses
• Validate data through concurrent chart review to ensure quality standards are met
• Work with Trauma Program leadership to collect and track data points for Performance Improvement initiatives
• Assist in preparing data for site visits, TQIP, and NJ State submissions

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHRs) such as EPIC
• Experience working with a registry and knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Trauma Registrar for a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
• Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR) Certification
