Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' histories and extract relevant information to inform treatment plans.
  • Conduct objective measurements to assess patients' abilities and needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that align with patients' goals and physician prescriptions.
  • Supervise occupational therapists' assistants and aides in the performance of treatment procedures.
  • Coordinate treatment plans with patients, families, and treatment teams through active participation in meetings and conferences.
  • Implement treatment plans and supervise patients' use of equipment, taking necessary precautions to ensure safe implementation.
  • Monitor and re-evaluate patients' responses to intervention and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patients' evaluations, treatments, assessments, and plans in their records.
  • Comply with established standards, policies, and procedures, including billing, reimbursement, scheduling, and emergency procedures.
  • Develop and implement home or community programming to maintain or enhance patients' performance in their environments.
  • Participate in discharge planning, including determination of appropriate home or community programming, home equipment, and patient/family education.
  • Maintain and monitor own work schedule and that of the team.
  • Review the quality and appropriateness of services delivered for effectiveness and efficiency using predetermined quality assurance criteria.
  • Participate in occupational therapy student programs under the supervision of the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education.
  • Attend and document participation in staff meetings and mandatory or voluntary in-service programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, as well as PA licensure, issued by the State Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of general occupational therapy experience.
  • Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
