Job Title: Biologist

Job Summary:

SPECTRAFORCE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced research scientist to join our Protein Sciences group. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team to provide protein purification support for various small molecule drug discovery programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform purification of recombinant proteins using chromatographic methods.
  • Characterize protein with SDS-PAGE, western blot, and other biophysical methods.
  • Drive for improved process performance and provide scientific insight to overcome issues.
  • Ensure experiments are planned and coordinated cross-functionally and executed effectively.
  • Author technical reports and documents.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or other relevant biological sciences.
  • Experience in protein expression and purification, with familiarity with the AKTA system.
  • Prior experience in supporting protein X-ray crystallography and biophysical characterizations of proteins is preferred.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to build open and collaborative relationships in a multidisciplinary environment.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a group setting, with a full-time on-site position. The team is dynamic and collaborative, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
