Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at WellStar Health System. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and fluoroscopy units.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of imaging protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience with ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) and C-Arm equipment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients, as well as operate heavy equipment.
