Behavioral Health Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Young Adult Behavioral Health Unit at Manchester Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, coordinate patient care, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patient condition and care needs, including psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural aspects.
- Develop and revise individualized treatment plans based on assessment and patient response to treatment.
- Follow the five medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors.
- Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and promotes positive patient outcomes.
- Document the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
- Collaborate and communicate with all members of the treatment team to effectively meet the treatment needs of the patient.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
- Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire and maintenance of clinical competency during employment with ECHN.
- Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and certification within 6 months of hire into the role.
- Ability to communicate effectively using the English language in both verbal and writing situations.
- Basic computer skills.
