Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architectural Designer to join our team at HiEmployment. As an Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project-related duties are the priority and addressed first. All priorities are based on each project's schedule and scope.
  • Complete assigned tasks on time as scheduled by the Project Manager and/or Project Architect.
  • Coordinate with other team members involved in the process.
  • Responsible for a varying degree of duties within each of the following areas:
    • All phases of Design and Planning.
    • Detail design for simpler, smaller building construction.
    • Some site construction observation and construction administration.
    • Assistance at presentation meetings and some degree of direct client relationship.
    • Coordination of architectural and engineering drawings for smaller buildings.
    • Outline specific writing.
    • Shop drawing review with close supervision.
    • Complete original building design and client presentation.
    • Coordination of permit and approval process for projects of most sizes.
    • Complete self-directed original construction detail design and drafting.
    • Drafting and supervision of working drawings for projects of all sizes.

Requirements:

  • Accredited degree in the field of Architecture and/or a combination of degree(s) in a related field and/or an appropriate number of years of experience.
  • Ability to coordinate and work with any member of the project staff to assist in completing projects on time.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, responsible, dependable, independent, ability to multi-task, good verbal, written, and drawing communication skills, ability to listen well and follow directions a necessity.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and be willing to jump in and assist with problem-solving exercises.
  • Cultivate easy relations with vendors and representatives to assist in project design and specifications.
