About the Role

This position is designed to support the growing Distribution and Transportation Team at WernerCo. The successful candidate will be based at our Socorro, Texas location and will be responsible for leading associate relations, development, and engagement in the Distribution Center. The role will also support two smaller additional locations.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of human resources management experience and a strong understanding of current employment laws. They will be proficient in Microsoft office products and have excellent communication skills. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic partnership directly with the DC General Manager with continuous communication and alignment with all human capital initiatives.
  • Partner with the broader HR Team to provide strategic and tactical HR support, ensuring alignment with corporate direction, strategic initiatives, and human resources best practices.
  • Provide safety and workers compensation guidance and support and consistency throughout the DC system to reinforce the Company's culture of safety.
  • Perform relations investigations, including associate/leadership interviews, documentation and follow up, supporting the administration of appropriate consequences as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership on all appropriate matters, and facilitate escalation, as needed.
Requirements
  • 10+ years human resources management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources certification preferred (E.g. PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • Human resources experience in supply chain and/or distribution center environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required
