Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and replication/distribution
  • Develop custom solutions/code to ingest and exploit new and existing data sources
  • Collaborate with teammates, other service providers, vendors, and users to develop new and more efficient methods
  • Organize and maintain documentation so others can understand and use it

Requirements

  • 15+ years relevant Information Technology experience
  • Strong software development experience, to include significant Java development, data analysis/parsing, and SQL/database experience
  • Strong experience with the full data lifecycle, from ingest through display, in a Big Data environment
  • Strong experience with Java-related technologies, such as JDK, J2EE, EJB, JDBC, and/or Spring, and experience with RESTful APIs

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Hadoop, Hbase, MapReduce
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Experience with NiFi, Kafka, and Zookeeper

Security Clearance Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements

  • Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
