Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a Poultry Care Specialist at Versova Inc, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and optimal living conditions of our chickens. This position emphasizes the importance of ethical practices in livestock management. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of the barn facilities and equipment, both inside and outside.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Uphold the ethical treatment of poultry, adhering to industry best practices and regulations set forth by relevant authorities.
  2. Conduct daily checks and remove any deceased birds from the cages.
  3. Inspect and resolve any egg jams by walking through all rows.
  4. Replace any non-functioning light bulbs throughout the facility.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of water and feed stations in both the front and back areas of the barns.
  6. Ensure egg transfer systems are clean and operational.
  7. Clear debris from egg collectors.
  8. Keep walkways tidy and manage waste in designated areas.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of the barn's exterior and interior.
  10. Capture any loose birds that may escape their designated areas.
  11. Collaborate with management to assess and interpret production data.
  12. Perform general maintenance tasks within the hen house and its systems.
  13. Support pest control efforts in line with company initiatives.
