Part-Time Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary:

Husson University's New England School of Communications is seeking part-time adjunct faculty members to teach Video Production courses. These courses introduce students to the world of video and digital filmmaking, focusing on the basic skills needed to create high-end, broadcast-quality video.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide students with proper instruction and content to achieve programmatic outcomes in the various courses to be taught.
  • Assign and oversee multiple field and post-productions at an introductory level.
  • Accurately track and assess student progress, maintaining Husson University standards.
  • Advise the Academic Director on proposed curricular changes.
  • Assist the department in experiential assessments and exercises where appropriate.
  • Assist in researching and assessing industry trends and future technologies concerning curriculum.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Gather data and prepare detailed documents.
    • Represent the School off campus when appropriate.
    • Serve on committees as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Masters Degree Required; Ph.D., MFA, or other terminal degree preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 1-3 years of work experience in a related field.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred.

Compensation:

Undergraduate Course:

  • Masters Prepared: $933.33 maximum per credit hour*
  • Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared: $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour*

Graduate Course:

  • Masters Level Prepared: $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour*
  • Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared: $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour*

Lab Sections Undergraduate:

  • Masters Prepared: $1,150.00 per credit hour
  • Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared: $1,250.00 per credit hour
