Nurse Practitioner Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Saint Vincent Physician Services, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide specialized nursing services with guidance from the attending physician.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Saint Vincent Physician Services, Inc.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures that affect your specific job functions/responsibilities.
- Obtain and record clients' health history, perform comprehensive physical assessments, and diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate healthcare for clients as needed.
- Refer clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required and ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities.
- Participate in patient review conferences and staffing, and assist the physician with various activities, including utilization review, quality assurance, program evaluation, infection control, and safety committee activities.
- Order medications and perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
- Conduct health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, enabling clients to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
- Provide consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, a Master's degree in nursing, and completion of a state-acceptable Nurse Practitioner's program. You must also be certified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and have a DEA registration with the state.
