Material Planning Manager

Job Mission:

The Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of materials to our sourced factories. This includes overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and systems to support material planning functions within the Sourced Apparel Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all Material Planning functions within the Sourced Apparel Supply Chain.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures to drive continuous improvement, create efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve service to New Balance markets.
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks, measuring actual performance against goals and coaching supply chain teams in resolving variances and improving performance.
  • Design Material Forecasting, Planning, and acquisition strategies and processes that effectively balance material inventory levels, market service, and cost minimization.
  • Represent Material Planning in cross-functional meetings and interface with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Product Management, Development, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, and other departments.

Requirements for Success:

  • 10+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Information System data mining skills.
  • CPIM Certification.
  • International travel.
