Senior Backend Java Engineer

Job Summary:
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Java Engineer with a strong background in large-scale distributed systems to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work on designing and developing high-performance systems that handle petabytes of data and serve hundreds of billions of transactions daily.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop large-scale distributed systems that balance resources, constraints, requirements, and complexity
Deploy, monitor, and operate large-scale production systems distributed across the globe
Automate the provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and management of our infrastructure
Lead projects and mentor junior team members
Participate in agile development with weekly sprints, planning, and estimating work

Requirements:
Strong experience in large-scale distributed systems
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of Java experience
Experience in async programming, memory management, JVM internals
Experience in implementing and/or operating highly scalable and available services on public cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
