Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

This is a hybrid role that requires a cyber security engineer with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies.

Cyber security engineers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

To ensure success, a security engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, and Security Audits.

Essential Functions:
  • Design and implement security software projects
  • Manage configurations of security applications
  • Test and document configurations and SOPs
  • Upgrade, maintain, and administer security systems
  • Provide technical support including troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Implement disaster recovery strategies for security applications
  • Performance analysis and tuning
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
  • Minimum of 1 year of related IT Security experience
  • Security Principles & Technology
  • Mastery knowledge in primary security products for administration functions, integration, access control systems, and security models, principles, and concepts
  • Maintenance & Monitoring
  • Mastery knowledge in primary security products for monitoring performance, tuning, installation, configuration, and implementing customizations
  • Mastery knowledge in security scanning tools
Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The salary range for this position starts at $68,550.00 and the market rate is $78,500.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
