Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team. As a Resource Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing expert-level care to high-risk patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to high-risk patients, including those with complex medical conditions and high acuity needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in education and training programs to maintain current clinical specialty knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Provide formal and informal education to staff nurses on various patient care topics, including critical care and high-risk patient management.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's (ADN).
- Minimum of two years acute care nursing experience, with demonstrated recent competency in critical care area such as intensive care or emergency department.
- Current RN Illinois license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- CCRN/PCCN/CEN certifications preferred and required to be maintained within 12 months of hire.
