Job Summary and Qualifications
This position is for a Full-Time Registered Nurse working day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with rotating weekends. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental standards and state regulations.
Your role will involve collaborating with medical professionals and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions upon admission and during each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Perform medical procedures and monitor patient status as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for therapeutic responses, taking action as necessary.
- Provide outstanding care by responding to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications, ensuring they understand complex medical information.
Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 30 days of employment. A valid Registered Nurse license in Texas or a Compact State License is mandatory. Candidates should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or a Registered Nurse Diploma, along with 1-2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Oncology or acute care nursing.
