Cartographic Specialist

Spectra Tech, a renowned leader in environmental restoration, seeks a skilled Cartographic Specialist to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID. This part-time position offers an average of 20 hours per week as needed.

As a key member of our GIS team, you will provide essential support to the IEC Environmental Restoration GIS Lead in creating high-quality maps and figures for reports, plans, and regulatory deliverables. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing and maintaining GIS project data sets, performing system maintenance, and editing tasks.

We are looking for someone with excellent cartographic design skills, a solid understanding of coordinate systems, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also be proficient in GPS and field surveying.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality maps and figures for inclusion in reports and plans
• Develop and maintain GIS project data sets
• Perform GIS system maintenance and editing tasks
• Work collaboratively with the GIS Lead and other team members
