About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images to PACS, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Radiologic Technologist (Radiography), Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
