Job Summary

VetJobs is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures using gamma camera systems to obtain high-quality images. You will also be responsible for injecting radioisotopes in the performance of testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform imaging procedures using gamma camera systems to obtain quality images.
  • Radioisotope Injection: Inject radioisotopes in the performance of testing.
  • Procedure Completion: Complete procedures in a caring, efficient, and safe manner in accordance with patient needs, department routines, radiologist requests, and Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a college program or diploma from a hospital-based program, with a specialty in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology, and six to twelve months related experience.
  • Experience: Specialized courses or training in Nuclear Medicine. Prefer ARRT in Radiography as well as Nuclear Medicine.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certifying Board (CNMT) is required.
    • Licensure: Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license in Nuclear Medicine is required.
    • BLS
