Job Description

Cohen & Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assurance Intern. As an Assurance Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the public accounting industry and develop your technical skills in audit procedures, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Perform various audit procedures, including testing, reporting, and compliance
  • Establish relationships with peers, mentors, and engagement teams through hands-on work, firm-wide events, and internship program experiences
  • Surround yourself with a team dedicated to developing your professional and industry knowledge through frequent feedback
  • Have your voice heard and get involved in business development, recruitment, DEI initiatives, community service days, firm-sponsored events, and other areas that interest you
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • Successfully completed introductory and at least one intermediate accounting course before the internship program start date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Pursuing required credit hours to sit for the CPA Exam
