Job Description

The role of a Senior Embedded Systems Developer at Gateway Recruiting involves working independently under limited supervision to perform highly complex and specialized level software project activities in areas such as Development, Tools, Test, Requirements, and related areas.

  • Analyzing requirements, planning, and scheduling data
  • Updating and maintaining different software specifications based on analysis of specifications, needs, and improvements
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining of software, test, or tool designs, cases, scripts, procedures, and/or code based on strategic analysis

As a lead on project teams, you will supervise other engineers and participate in and support the implementation, development, enhancements, and modifications to software source code, scripts, and procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Debugging and troubleshooting software problems, offering strategic solutions, analysis, and advice regarding identified issues for future development
  • Identifying parameters, structure, and critical test components
  • Contributing to and supporting root-cause analysis of failures

In this role, you will also contribute to and support writing, updating, developing, and maintaining Hazard/Risk analysis specifications and support the implementation, enhancements, and modifications to test cases, procedures, scripts, and code. You will document and resolve issues as directed, provide useful feedback during reviews held by other engineers, and review project deliverables such as specifications, code, and test/tool procedures for feasibility, thoroughness, clarity, correctness, and accuracy.
