Position Title: Estimator – Security Clearance Required

Role Summary: The Estimator will be responsible for creating detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects based on client specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze construction documents to understand the scope of work.
  • Lead the estimating process and generate accurate estimates.
  • Source pricing for materials and services.
  • Review estimates for accuracy and completeness.
  • Notify supervisors of any discrepancies in estimates or data.
  • Prepare estimates for both plan/spec and design/build projects, including HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Utilize company estimating software to maintain efficiency.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site inspections to assess project conditions.
  • Communicate project details to the installation team during turnover meetings.
  • Prepare estimates for change orders on ongoing projects as needed.
  • Utilize software tools for takeoffs and project setup.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to refine estimates.
  • Stay updated on advancements in estimating software and procedures.
  • Conduct field evaluations when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience.
  • Proficient in reading technical specifications and construction plans.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical construction systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, estimating software, and CAD tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
