Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality care to residents in a senior living community, working under the general direction of the Wellness Director. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a positive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication and provide assistance with daily living activities to residents, ensuring their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial wellness.
- Assist with vital signs and weight monitoring, completing all required documentation and reporting changes in resident status to the Wellness Director.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to residents, observing changes in their needs or preferences and communicating them to the Wellness Director.
- Assist with resident move-in and move-outs, and participate in discharge planning as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to controlled substances and medication management.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state
- Up to date first aid and CPR certification
- 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics
