Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Hard Rock International (USA), Inc. as a Cook.

Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $55,000 per year

About the Role

The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in an assigned kitchen outlet. This includes following recipes and company standards to ensure dishes are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana for gaming entertainment.
  • Prepare foods based on company standards and recipes, ensuring all plates or pans served meet HRCNIN specifications.
  • Demonstrate good knife skills and knowledge of cooking procedures.
  • Use all equipment provided by HRCNIN to prepare stocks, soups, mother sauces, and various types of meat and seafood.
  • Produce a variety of sauces and place them on dishes according to HRCNIN standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Assist coworkers to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
  • Ensure cleanliness of working area and report safety failures, hazardous areas, and accidents.
  • Properly store foods, including those from previous functions.
  • Ensure items are fully stocked and equipment is in good working condition.
  • Close down workstations properly.
  • Assist with special events or parties, including carving, cooking, setup, and teardown.
  • Attend meetings and complete follow-up tasks as assigned.
  • Assist other cooks during food preparation and assembly.
  • Clean up before shift ends.
  • Sanitize all work areas based on Food Safety rules and regulations, as well as HRCNIN standards.
  • Perform work regularly and predictably.
  • Clean and sanitize public spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.
