Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients, and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds and be prepared to move or lift patients up to 50 pounds at times.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements:
  • BLS, ACLS, 2 Years
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
