The City of Torrance, CA is seeking a skilled Music Director to join our Cultural Arts Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and conducting musical performances, working closely with our conductor to develop and refine musical scores.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading rehearsals and preparing musicians for performances
  • Selecting and transposing music to suit various occasions
  • Collaborating with the conductor and vocalists to create exceptional choral music

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent sight-reading skills, the ability to read chord charts and improvise solos, as well as the capacity to memorize and adapt music quickly.
