Job Summary

The Machine Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of production equipment and facilities at Globus Medical. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment, building systems, and process infrastructure.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure the plant is operating at peak condition.
  • Monitor contractor performance and work with vendors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
  • Solicit bids and quotes from vendors and perform terminations at machinery as needed.
  • Communicate with production personnel to resolve problems and prepare responses to audits.
  • Execute assigned maintenance area capital projects and diagnose, repair, and test malfunctioning equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair experience with CNC machines, mill turn centers, and other equipment.
  • Provide daily emergency and preventative maintenance on any machine or system in the facility and assist with process and machinery improvements.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure safe and dependable operation of all manufacturing and electrical equipment.
  • Comply with all safety norms and regulations and maintain records of inventories and spare parts.
  • Track log repair and maintenance work and adhere to the company Code of Conduct and compliance regulations.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines, mill turn centers, and other equipment.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing expertise.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc and Mitsubishi Control-operated machinery.

  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Required to possess specific vision abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.
