Job Summary

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Orthotist-Prosthetist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing prosthetic and orthotic services to our patients, including designing and fitting custom devices to optimize patient performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify prosthetic and orthotic needs
  • Design and fabricate custom prosthetic and orthotic devices using advanced technologies and materials
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on prosthetic and orthotic device use and maintenance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Board certification in orthotics and prosthetics
  • Advanced knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic technologies and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
