Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities of Maintenance Personnel to include: Reactive and preventative maintenance to machines, equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Facility maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
  • Proper repair of machinery and equipment such as: pumps, rolling stock, electrical components, conveyor systems, VFDs, sensors, tanks, vessels, pipe welding, heat exchangers, dryers, boilers, chillers, slicers, baggers, scales, and pneumatic cylinders.
  • Assist the maintenance team when needed for repairs, troubleshooting, or training.
  • Train new maintenance team members on tasks and requirements.
  • Evaluate team members for performance, accomplishment of tasks, and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper staffing and allocation of tasks.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Assist the maintenance team with prioritizing maintenance tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Consistently Monitor the team throughout the shift.
  • Mentor, identify training needs, and provide remedial training if necessary.
  • Plan and oversee maintenance projects and equipment installations and ensure they are being completed on time and within budget.
  • Document, report, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Analyze the data to provide solutions and strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible for all audits and reviews.
  • Follow all CMP and PPE procedures and ensure the maintenance team is as well.
  • Follow all OHSA and company safety rules and ensure the maintenance team is as well.

Requirements:

  • Prior Leadership/Supervisory experience in the industrial manufacturing field is required.
  • Proficiency with 480V troubleshooting.
  • Equipment and Machine Maintenance – Reactive and Preventative.
  • Performing maintenance on Conveyor systems, Belts, VFDs, Motors, Gear boxes, Sensors, Pumps, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • PLC Troubleshooting (Robotics experience is a plus).
  • Strong Electrical skills – plus Troubleshooting and wiring.
  • Electrical and Control panels.
  • Schematics and Blueprints.
  • Experience with Dryers, Boilers, Chillers, Blades, Slicers, Baggers, Scales, Weighers, Pneumatic Cylinders, and LOTO is highly preferred.
  • Basic Computer skills such as: Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Industrial Maintenance background.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Education: High school or Equivalent.
  • Be willing to complete drug and background checks.

Work Environment:

  • Food manufacturing.
  • Colder environment – Refrigerated food items.
  • Mid-sized facility.
  • Spacious, warm, organized and tidy Maintenance department.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $30-34.50 – Maintenance Supervisor.
  • 10-15 hours/week OT.

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 5:00a – 3:30p.
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00p – 1:30a.
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00p– 7:30a.
  • Set schedules and no mandatory extra days.
