Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced diesel technician to join our team at Miller Transportation Group.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, with experience working on Class 1-7 diesel tractors. They will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing engine fault codes, and repairing/ replacing brakes, steering components, and suspension.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
  • Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
  • Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
  • Replace clutches & transmissions

Requirements

  • 3+ years working as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
  • Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
  • A valid CDL (Class A or B) OR the ability to acquire a Commercial Driver License with the assistance of our trainer
  • Hand tools
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM until 10:30 PM OR Monday - Friday 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM
  • Experience working on reefer units is desired; not required
