Position Overview:
The Primary Care Physician (PCP) plays a crucial role within a collaborative healthcare team, delivering essential medical diagnostic and therapeutic services. This role encompasses patient referrals for specialized care, as well as providing education and preventive health advice to all individuals under care.

Key Responsibilities:
As a PCP, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver medical care in accordance with your licensure and/or certification.
  • Conduct diagnosis, treatment, therapy, and management of patients, adhering to contemporary standards of care.
  • Employ managed care strategies to ensure cost-effective utilization of laboratory, radiology, and ancillary services, including specialists and hospitals.
  • Maintain timely and thorough medical documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, in line with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including specialists in dermatology, podiatry, and wound care, to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Facilitate effective communication and educational initiatives for patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Engage in educational activities aimed at enhancing the skills of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and their support staff.
  • Participate in business and patient care meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with managed care environments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse employees and maintain relationships with various health plans.
