NYC Elevator Inspector

At Teksky LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled NYC Elevator Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of elevators, escalators, and related vertical transportation systems in the five boroughs of New York City.

• Witness mandated annual category one and/or five-year tests for elevators, escalators, and related vertical equipment.
• Perform periodic inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
• Verify all vertical systems meet safety standards and are operating efficiently.
• Document all findings and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Work with building owners, managers, and maintenance staff to address any identified safety hazards.

• A valid NYC Department of Building Inspectors License is mandatory.
• A valid NYS Dept. of Labor License is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• A valid driver's license and own vehicle.
• Working knowledge of the NYC Construction Codes.
• QEI Certification (Beneficial)
• OSHA 10 Safety Certified preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential safety hazards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret and apply safety regulations and codes.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
