Job Overview

A Store Operations Manager is dedicated to motivating our workforce, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth with ethical practices.

This managerial role encompasses responsibilities across various business functions, requiring a comprehensive understanding of retail systems, automotive knowledge, and the capability to troubleshoot and assist with DIY projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve overall sales targets and service goals.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with professional customers, ensuring the team is accountable for executing customer engagement strategies.
  • Oversee the selection, hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling of store team members.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory and operational standards.
  • Guide team members in meeting customer expectations for both DIY and professional services.
  • Fulfill manager-on-duty responsibilities, including coaching, task assignment, and safety management.
  • Lead change initiatives and promote a diverse and respectful environment for customers and team members.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide DIY services such as battery and wiper installations.
  • Assist in various functions as requested by district or regional management.

Success Factors:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to locate and manage inventory.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Willingness to obtain ASE certification.
  • Proficient in advanced parts sourcing and lookup.
  • Ability to execute and train on operational processes and diagnostic equipment.
  • Competence in analyzing financial statements.
  • Skill in recruiting and developing quality team members.
  • Capability to build and maintain professional customer relationships.

Essential Skills:

  • Working knowledge of automotive systems is preferred.
  • Effective communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze business reports and hold team members accountable.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands:

The role requires physical stamina, including frequent walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

While primarily working indoors, the position may involve occasional outdoor tasks, exposing the employee to various weather conditions.

This position is eligible for performance-based sales commissions.
