Surgical Oncologist

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Colorectal Surgeon to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex surgical procedures, including colon and rectal surgery, with a focus on robotic-assisted surgery
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting a culture of patient-centered care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures

Requirements

• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery
• Completion of a fellowship program in Colon and Rectal Surgery
• Current Georgia medical license or ability to obtain one prior to starting
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery and a strong interest in staying up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques
