Trauma Program Director, RN Leadership

As a Trauma Program Manager, RN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of trauma care at our facility, impacting patients' lives and improving outcomes for trauma victims in the community.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for trauma care, strong leadership skills, and a drive to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trauma Program Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operations of the trauma program, ensuring all activities align with national trauma care standards and our facility's goals for trauma care.
- Coordination and Collaboration: Serve as the key point of contact for all trauma services and work closely with surgeons, emergency department staff, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated trauma care.
- Trauma Registry Management: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of trauma registry data to ensure accurate documentation and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the trauma program meets all regulatory requirements, including those from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and state health departments.
- Performance Improvement: Lead trauma performance improvement activities by identifying trends, analyzing patient care data, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve trauma care outcomes.
- Trauma Education & Training: Develop and coordinate educational programs for staff, including trauma nursing protocols, initial trauma assessments, and advanced trauma care techniques.
- Patient Care Advocacy: Ensure trauma patients receive the highest level of care through every stage of their treatment, from the emergency room to rehabilitation.
- Community Outreach & Education: Represent the trauma program in the community through outreach programs, injury prevention initiatives, and collaboration with local EMS services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certification in Trauma Nursing (TCRN) required or must be obtained within a designated timeframe.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in trauma or critical care settings.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or management role within a trauma program or related area.
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
