At Bedford Veterinary Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Animal Care Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our patients in the daycare and boarding facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, feeding, and cleaning of patients in the daycare and boarding facility
- Administer medications and monitor patient behavior
- Participate in dog daycare playtime and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all animals
- Restock hospital supplies and assist doctors and assistants with tasks as needed
- Maintain accurate records of patient registrations, medications, and special diets
- Collaborate with our veterinary team to ensure the highest level of care for our patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
