Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.
In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
Engages in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.
Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
Advocates for a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary.Supports facility engagement efforts by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.Recommends and implements actions, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.
Assists with staff scheduling and manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/BSN
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
