About the Role

This position involves working with advanced imaging equipment and radioactive materials to capture diagnostic images of organs and tissues. You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and analyzing images to identify normal and abnormal findings for physician review.

To excel in this role, you should possess strong technical skills and knowledge of nuclear medicine technology. Additionally, excellent communication skills are essential for ensuring patient comfort and understanding throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures, explaining the process, positioning, and ensuring their comfort during the administration of radioactive materials.
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture diagnostic images of organs and tissues.
  • Analyze and interpret nuclear medicine images to identify normal and abnormal findings for physician review.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient procedures, imaging data, and radiopharmaceutical usage.

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will work collaboratively with nuclear medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement diagnostic imaging protocols and treatment plans.

Requirements
  • Certification: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N).
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Experience: Previous experience in nuclear medicine or imaging is highly desirable.
